Freestyle

The Freestyle program is geared towards teaching young skiers the skills and techniques required to be safe and comfortable everywhere on the mountain. From perfect corduroy, to gnarly bumps; boxes and rails, to tweaked out jumps our program will help students refine the skills they already have and explore new and exciting possibilities. Our programs, taught by certified professionals, follow the Canadian Freestyle Ski Association’s best practices to ensure students are maximizing both learning and safety. This allows us to create well rounded technically sound skiers and while encouraging individual creativity, style, self-expression and fun!

NOTE: All members of the Freestyle Ski Program must belong to the Freestyle Canada. This is for insurance coverage for athletes during training and competition. Freestyle Canada membership fee is not included in the price of the program.

Freestyle Ski Program: $484.50 + HST

Program Times: 9:45am to 11:45am and 12:45pm to 2:45pm. No lunch supervision.

Runs every Saturday starting January 4th and runs until March 15th. No Classes on March 1.

Snow Academy Ski Program - 6+

This is the perfect program for anyone looking to tackle everything Crabbe Mountain has to offer. By using a combination of the Canada Alpine athlete progression and Crabbe Mountain’s
own Deck Of Skills, this program ensures that young skiers will be challenged in a fun and constructive environment with progression check points along the way. Whether upgrading their confidence in the gates before joining the race club or looking to make the transition from Hume’s Flume to the headwall of King’s Horn this program offers young skiers opportunities to make friends and surround themselves in a positive ski/board community with certified coaches. This Program is offered to children at all different ski ability levels from beginner to experience who are ages 6 & up.

Program Times: 9:45am to 11:45am and 12:45pm to 2:45pm. No lunch supervision.

Snow Academy Ski Program - Two Days: $739.00 + HST
Every Saturday and Sunday starting the weekend of January 4th/5th and runs until March 15th/16th. No Classes on the weekend of March 1st/2nd during March Break.

Snow Academy Ski Program - One Day: $484.50 + HST
Every Saturday or Sunday starting the weekend of January 4th/5th and runs until the weekend of March 15th/16th. No Classes on the weekend of March 1st/2nd during March Break.

Snow Academy Snowboard Program - 6+

This is the perfect program for those parents who are looking for their child to become a skilled confident snowboard rider out on the hill. By using the CASI's Rider Skill Progression and an all terrain approach, this program ensures young riders will be challenged in a fun and constructive environment while developing friendships and giving them the opportunity to surround themselves in a positive ski/board community with certified coaches. This program is offered to children at all different snowboard ability levels from beginner to experience who are ages 6& up.

Program Times: 9:45am to 11:45am and 12:45pm to 2:45pm. No lunch supervision.

Snow Academy Snowboard Program: $484.50 + HST

Classes are on Saturdays only starting January 4th and end on March 15th. No Class on March 1st.

Please note that online registrations are subject to applicable web fees.

**Programs do not include ski/snowboard equipment or lift passes. A child's seasonal program lift ticket option is available to buy when you purchase your child's program which cost $268.99 + HST. This covers lift tickets for lesson days only and must be picked up at the Snow School Desk each weekend. Child season passes are also available (please see season pass information for pricing).

The Mountain

Our backyard boasts the largest vertical drop in the Maritimes and is home to some of the best terrain in Atlantic Canada. With such amazing terrain young skiers and snowboarders develop their skill organically with exposure to steeps, bumps, courses, ungroomed and natural terrain features in the glades! Skiers and snowboarders learn, with the guidance of coaches, technique and versatile skill to shred the whole mountain.

The Park

Teaching the fundamentals of progressive freestyle skiing and snowboarding is easy when you have one of the best terrain parks in Atlantic Canada. Students will safely learn on a step-by-step basis the tricks and maneuvers best suited for their style and abilities on boxes, rails, and jumps. The semi-structured environment fashions a safe learning experience without restricting the essential creative and elements of the terrain park.

The Coaches

The coaching staff brings a broad range of skill, experience, and enthusiasm to the table. The diversity and knowledge of our staff allows us to raise the abilities of any skier or snowboarder to the next level. Our coaches are certified by the Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance (CSIA), the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI), Freestyle Canada (formerly CFSA), and the Canadian Association of Ski Coaches (CSCF).
